Who are we?
Bubble & Fizz
My name is Brandon Mathess. I am the founder and formulator of Bubble & Fizz – Mountain Apothecary. The roots of Bubble & Fizz go back to the fall of 2012 when I started making soy candles for friends and family. The candles where a hit and after lots of work and more refinement in my product I started to travel around North Central West Virginia doing craft shows as 3 Rivers Candle Co. The first event I ever sold my candles at was a craft show during the Feast of the 7 Fishes in Fairmont, WV.
In 2017 I decided to try my hand at soap making and rebranded as Three Rivers Handcrafted to better include the new expanded range of products I was making. People loved the soap I was making with skin loving ingredients and my products started to pop up in stores around the area. Success with the soap encouraged me to expand into a full line of skincare products.
2020 was the year I decided to grow the business and get my carefully crafted products to more people. With this goal came our new name, Bubble & Fizz – Mountain Apothecary. A new name, but I still make every product from scratch in small batches.
In 2022 we celebrated 10 years of creating my handcrafted goods for the community. To mark those 10 years I returned to where it all began and set up at the Hometown Christmas Market for the 2022 Feast of the 7 Fishes. I saw so many happy faces that had been supporting my dream for these 10 years, and many more new faces that fell in love with the products I poured my heart into. The past 10 years have been amazing and I look forward to many more to come. Thank you to everyone who has supported my little company in the past and into the future.
